The audit subcommittee consists of the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House, and the Majority and Minority Leaders from both chambers.

OLAG employs people with qualifying credentials to carry out audit work

All audits are released through the Legislative Audit Subcommittee, which consists of the leadership of both houses.

In 1972, Utah voters granted constitutional authority for the Legislature to establish the Office of the Legislative Auditor General. Three years later, the Office was established in statute, marking nearly 50 years of promoting excellence in Utah government
